Admin Manual

Welcome to the Fitech Admin Dashboard! This guide is written specifically for non-technical users to master updating the inventory, uploading images, and managing products on the live Storefront.

1. The Basics: Creating a Master Product

Before you can sell a "Space Black 256GB iPhone 17", you must first create the Master Product (the "iPhone 17").

  • Go to the Inventory page and click Add Product.
  • Name & Slug: Type the product name. The "Slug" is automatically generated (it's the URL path, e.g., iphone-17).
  • Base Price: This is the starting price shown on the website (e.g., KSh 130,000).
  • Category & Condition: Select the right category (like iPhones) and if it's Brand New or Certified.
  • Status: Make sure this is checked if you want it visible to the public. If unchecked, it will be hidden.
💡 Note: You do not upload the gallery images here! The main image you add here is just the tiny thumbnail used in the Admin dashboard.

2. Configurations: Adding Colors & Storage

Customers don't just buy an "iPhone 17", they buy a specific Configuration (or Variant). You must add these inside the Product.

  • Scroll down inside the Product Modal to the Configurations section.
  • Click Add Config.
  • Color: Pick the exact hex code (e.g., black) and give it a name (e.g., Space Black). This determines the color circles the customer clicks.
  • Storage/Size: Type "256GB" or "1TB".
  • Price Modifier: If the 1TB version costs KSh 20,000 extra, put 20000 here. If it costs the base price, leave it at 0.
  • Stock: Enter how many physical units you have. When this hits 0, the Storefront says "Out of Stock".

3. Uploading High-Quality Galleries

The Storefront's gorgeous image gallery is tied directly to the Configurations. When a user clicks "Space Black", they should see the Space Black images!

  • Inside a Configuration (Variant), you have two options for adding images:
  • Option A (Upload): Click the Add Media button to upload multiple files directly from your computer (up to 5GB).
  • Option B (Paste CDN URL): Go to the Product Media page, copy an image's secure CDN URL, and paste it into the "Paste CDN URL" box in the variant. Hit Add URL or press Enter.
  • To delete a specific image, hover over it and click the red trash icon.
  • Crucial: These changes will only save to the live Storefront when you click the giant Save Changes button at the bottom.

4. Tips & Best Practices

Use the Search Bar

The inventory page has an instant search bar. Just type "MacBook" to instantly filter thousands of products.

Badges

The "Tags" field in the product (e.g. "PRO POWER") shows up as a shiny badge on the public Storefront.

Permanent Deletion

Clicking the red trash icon deletes the product and its variants forever from the database. Use with caution!

Live Storefront Sync

The moment you click Save, the changes are instantly live on the public Storefront. No waiting required.
